Proposition 40 Priority Area County Maps
CAL FIRE has developed maps to aid in the identification of high priority areas for fuels reduction projects to protect watersheds and water quality. These county-based maps are based on California Fire Plan data that indicate watershed and water quality assets at risk of being adversely impacted by wildfire.
These county maps show areas of high and moderate rank for watershed and water quality Assets at Risk (AAR) to wildfire impacts. Projects that do not fall within the high and moderate rank areas also will be considered for funding, so long as the project application clearly demonstrates the project's potential to protect watershed and water quality assets.
