Ronald D. RalphChief Information Officer Ronald Ralph has served as the chief information officer for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) since 2002. He is responsible for leading and implementing the effective and efficient acquisition and management of information technology across the department. He manages a multi-million dollar information technology program, overseeing management, acquisition, and integration of the department's information resources. His oversight includes strategic planning, policy, capital planning, systems development, data telecommunications, information security data management, enterprise architecture, support, and user computing. Ralph came to CAL FIRE in 1990 and has worked as a support technician, systems programmer, systems analyst, and technical supervisor. Prior to joining CAL FIRE, he worked in the private sector in information technology and electronics industries, where he worked in various capacities including electronic technician, systems and applications programming, systems analyst, technical writer, and technical supervisor. Ralph has 23 years of experience in technology organizations in private industry and public service, and has degrees in business administration and electronics. |
