Susanville Interagency Fire Center
Susanville Interagency Fire Center (SIFC) is located in the heart of Susanville and is an Emergency Operations Command Center composed of four cooperating agencies: U.S. Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. CAL FIRE staff includes one battalion chief and three fire captains. SIFC dispatches initial attack, extended attack and major/multiple incidents within the combined areas of Lassen Volcanic National Park, Norcal BLM, Lassen National Forest, CAL FIRE Lassen-Modoc-Plumas Unit, and Firenet Lassen Fire protection responsibility area.
These statistics are the total number of incidents dispatched by the Emergency Command Center through its Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) Program. The totals include CAL FIRE's state funded engines, local government engines staffed by CAL FIRE under cooperative agreements, as well as independent fire departments who contact with CAL FIRE for dispatch only services.
